Dear valued customers! The year 2002 began very inconsistently for most areas of business. Many clients are complaining of lacking orders. The reasons for this predicament are mostly the same - cost savings, especially where the public hand is concerned, as well as all areas that are connected with tourism. Last area is probably affected due to the terrorist attacks of September 11. However, the situation is slowly beginning to normalise. In the near future there will most certainly be a catch-up demand as cleaning, when ignored or negelected, has to be made up for. This means more effort on behalf of the building contractor which in turn means more revenue/sales.

The fact that cleaning is more than just cleaning has to be brought to the clientÕs attention. Cleaning is especially important in times where costs are at the top of the priority list - cleaning means the maintaning of the value of the objects that are cleaned, prolonging their usefulness. Regular cleaning and maintenance means that the lifetime of objects of use is prolonged. This means that new investments can be postponed leading to a cost saving effect in the middle to long run. Unfortunately this viewpoint is not always shared by the customer. Customers that are far-sighted and have understood this concept realise the importance of considering it in their planning and budgets. Cooperation and working together between customer and service company becomes fruitful and leads to positive benefits on both sides. Maintenance of value and the improvemant of indoor air quality are two important effects realised by consistent and proper cleaning. Humans are becoming more and more sensitive to external influences. Since most of our time is spent indoors, and most of this indoor time during work hours, the importance of indoor air quality becomes clear. By explaining this concept to the customer and giving competent advice in regards to the right cleaning products the service company can use this topic to its favor. The customer has to be made aware that an improvement of indoor air quality will lead to an improvment of the working climate (in the true sense of the word). Employees feel better and the amount of sick leave is reduced. The costs that may be saved thorugh this effect by far outweigh the necessary costs to attain an improved indoor air quality. It is your job, dear customers, to convey this concept to your customers in order to harvest the rewards. CEBE Reinigungschemie has taken this topic to heart for some time now and is constantly putting an effort into fitting newly developed products into this concept.

The introduction of the quality seal ProIAQ at the exhibition CMS 2001 in Berlin was the beginning. The response of our visitors was somewhat reserved. It is, after all, a new concept, especially in Germany. However, the problem of indoor air quality will become more important in the future. Interclean 2002

The time has come once again: the biennial exhibition Interclean in Amsterdam is taking place from May 14 to 17 in the European Hall of the RAI exhibition centre.

CEBE Reinigungschemie GmbH is, of course, part of this exhibition as usual. We are located at the same position as two years ago - only the stand number has changed: 01.130. Our topic for the exhibition is the same as for the CMS 2001 in Berlin: Indoor Air Quality. On the one hand we are introducing our ProIAQ Quality Seal to our international visitors at this exhibition. On the other hand we would like to expose those who have seen it in Berlin once more and make them aware of the importance this factor has regarding the quality of cleaning and maintanence. Our brochure summarises the topic and introduces products, machines and materials that have the goal to improve In-door Air Quality.

In addition we are exhibiting our Quik-Dry¨ System. This system not only uses carbonated water to increase cleaning power - it also contains components that have no negative impact on Indoor Air Quality. General Catalogue

The switch to creating our own graphic and design department 6 years ago has proven itself with much success. By publishing and printing our own catalogue material we have been able to gain a lot of flexibility. Even though the amount of marketing material became more we were able to reduce costs slightly. New products are included almost immediately in existing catalogues and brochures. This ensures that our catalogue material is always up to date. Splitting our product lines into separate brochures had only positive resonance with you, dear customers. However, the request for a general catalogue coantining all products we have to offer did arise from time to time. This way one would have everything in one was the argument. In the past we have issued several limited editions of a general catalogue in one form or the other. The occasion was usually an exhibition or another type of event. We now proudly present the General Catalogue 2002.

The General Catalogue 2002 is a detailed summary of all the products we have to offer. Even though it is extensive, not all information is included as is the case in the individual brochures. New Products

Two new products have been added to the CEBE programme since the last edition of our newsletter: Kill Odor® OX and our Tile and Stainless Steel Cleaner. Kill Odor® OX is a highly effective odour neutraliser, cleaner, and disinfectant. It works on the basis of oxidation. The key to its effectiveness is a combination of wetting agents and stabilised hydrogen peroxide. The concentration of hydrogen peroxide is high enough that the product can be diluted 1:2 with water, but it still lies below the threshold for Kill Odor® OX to become a hazmat when transported.

Kill Odor® OX may be used in any method. However, the proper safety measures should be taken when using this product. Kill Odor® OX oxidises odours, disinfects surfaces, and has a bleaching effect if left to work long enough. This makes it highly effective as a fungicide. Since it is based on hydrogen peroxide it is environmentally friendly compared to chlorine-based products. It contains no solvents or perfumes and therefore has been awarded our quality seal ProIAQ. Wherever the application of ozone is not desired one can work with Kill Odor® OX. The product decomposes to water after application and therefore becomes harmless. The Tile and Stainless Steel Cleaner is a highly effective scale remover and cleaner for gastronomy and food processing plants. Its combination of surface active substances makes this product ideal for use in foam generators. Simply foam it, let it work, and rinse it off.

The Tile and Stainless Steel Cleaner is based on phosphoric acid making it more user and environmentally friendly than comparable products based on hydrochloric acid. It still carries enough of a punch for it to be used successfully in the food processing sector. Other areas where fast and powerful scale removal, cleaning power, and foam stability are required are additional places of use for this product. The Rotovac System

In order to achieve an even better result when cleaning carpets with the extraction method and at the same time making the process more ergonomic the Rotovac was developed. For those of you that know the RX-20: the Rotovac uses the same basic principle. It is used instead of the standard floor tool and may be attached to any extraction machine.

Working with the Rotovac is like using an upright vacuum - the Rotovac does the work, not the user. Two counter-rotating attachments with three jets and vacuum slots each rotating at 250 rpm do the work. The pile is restored more effectively than with a pile lifter. The carpet becomes cleaner than when using a standard floor tool - with less effort and in less time!. Request our brochure now!
